Drawing and Painting Every Day

I have been drawing and painting away to my hearts content since I last blogged here. My Art student Amy signed me up at DeviantArt and I've been hooked ever since. I have gotten more personal Art work done in the past year then ever before in my life. I have painted Emus, Wizards, Dragons, dogs, cats, people, and just enjoyed working as an artist for myself everyday. It is very strange not to have a job or something I "must" complete, and it was stranger to have Pneumonia from May until September in 2008. Not being able to breathe is a horrible way to try to stay alive. Is that a double negative? I seem to be tired all the time now, and I take long naps, but that seems to be the only side effect of my bout with Pneumonia.

On a more creative note I will post some of the drawings and paintings I've done in the last year, and you will be able to share some of the Zest I have enjoyed from associating with other artists from all over the world.

Today I am posting some dog portraits I did from the wonderful photographs taken by a woman in Sweden you can see her work at http://sannas.deviantart.com/ She gave me permission to paint from her photographs, and her dog is the wonderful Tibetan Mastiff Zodd. I am uploading two paintings I did of him, 1 in his shorter summer coat and 1 in this heavily maned thick, long, winter coat. I hope you enjoy these Pet Portraits as much as I did painting them.
